Google tag manager

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tool that allows you to manage and deploy marketing tags (small code snippets) on your website without having to modify the underlying code. It is primarily used to track user behavior and interactions, enabling detailed analytics and performance insights. We use GTM to set up tracking for key actions such as purchases, add-to-cart events, beginning checkout, page views, and item views. This ensures we capture the data needed to optimize your advertising efforts and measure the success of your campaigns effectively. Step #1: How to create a google tag manager account.

  1. Go to Google Tag Manager: Visit Google Tag Manager and log in with your Google account.

  2. Click "Create Account": Once logged in, click on the Create Account button.

  3. Enter Account Details:

    • Account Name: Enter your business or organization's name (e.g., "Your Business Name").

    • Country: Select your country from the dropdown menu.

      • Paste the first snippet immediately after the opening <head> tag.

      • Paste the second snippet immediately after the opening <body> tag.

    • If you’re using a CMS like WordPress, there may be plugins available to help you insert the GTM code.

  7. Publish Your Container:

    • After installing the code, go back to Google Tag Manager and click Submit to publish your container.
